Orange Shoulder Tang (Acanthurus olivaceus)
This fish makes its home in the Pacific Ocean: From the Christmas Island in the eastern Indian Ocean to the Hawaiian and Tuamoto Islands, north to Japan and south to Lord Howe Island.
It likes to hangout near seaward reefs in areas of bare rock or mixed rubble and sand, from 30 to at least 150 ft deep. Juveniles inhabit protected bays and lagoons, singly or in small groups in as little as 10 ft. Adults usually occur singularly or in loose schools and feed on surface film of detritus, diatoms, and fine filamentous algae covering sand and bare rock.
This fish does well in aquariums and is a common fish in most large Indo-Pacific collections
